New Science Wing – Labs in Session

Students in Marty Glynn’s Chemistry class investigate reactivity of metals in single-replacement reactions. Testing was done on four small pieces of metals, including copper, magnesium and iron, diluting solutions of various compounds into wells on a spot plate to record signs of chemical change observed. Students observed changes in color or state, or the production of bubbles. It was wonderful to see the new science wing operating in full swing in this state-of-the art Chemistry classroom that offers advanced technology and ample space to conduct labs safely and more efficiently.
