Facility - The Library Media Center was renovated in 2003 to further meet the needs of our growing student population.  This LIbrary Media Center serves students in grades 7-12. The Center houses a print collection of over 16,000 titles as well as periodicals, videos, DVDs and online subscription services.  We not only strive to offer a quiet, comfortable learning environment for our students, but also to function as a true "hub" of information for our school community.  Teachers are encouraged to bring their classes to the Library Media Center for group instruction regarding the research process. The Center also features a separate computer research lab adjacent to the library proper in addition to the computers located in the library.

Staff - Cold Spring Harbor Jr/Sr High School has one full time certified Library Media Specialist, Mr. Conklin.

Print - The Senior High Library has approximately 16,000 titles including reference, nonfiction, and fiction.  Books circulate for a period of two weeks.  If a student needs more than two weeks, books can be renewed.  Reference materials do not circulate, however a photocopy machine is available for student use.  We have recently converted to a computerized library catalog.  Students can search for books from any computer, whether in our school or at home (see the links above).

Online Databases - The Library Media Center subscribes to a number of online databases that support the curriculum taught at our high school.  Through these databases, our students can gain access to vast resources of scholarly work written by experts in their fields.  It is our goal to prepare our students for college-level research, and the use of these databases is essential to our program.  These databases can be accessed by simply clicking on the "online databases" link to your left.  Usernames and passwords for each of these databases are available on the Library Canvas page or from Mr. Conklin
