Messy Recipes
-
Here are the recipes for some messy fun;
Oobelick
cornstarch (1 cup)
water (1/2 cup)
food coloring (few drops)
* Empty one cup of cornstarch into a deep tray and add water slowly. As soon as mixture becomes smooth and most of the clumps of cornstarch disappear, it will be ready. Be careful not to add too much water or else it will lose its thick consistency. If that occurs, add more cornstarch. You can also add different drops of food coloring to create many different colors!
Clean Mud
1/2 bar of Ivory Soap (crumbled)
1 roll of toilet paper
water
*Line the bottom of a deep tray with toilet paper pieces. Place the crumbles of soap onto the toilet paper and add water (just enough to saturate the paper), Begin to mix and slowly you will create mud from the toilet paper. Keep adding paper and water to increse the amount of mud as desired.
Bubbles
Dawn Liquid soap (2/3 cups)
Glycerine (3 TBsp.)
Karo Syrup (about 2 good squirts)
water (1 gallon)
*Mix ingredients in a deep pan and use with any bubble making wands. Hint: fly swatters make great bubbles!
Earth Friendly Play Dough
1 cup flour (not self-rising)
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil1-1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
*Mix in saucepan over low heat. (It does not have to heat long.) Dough is ready when it rolls into a ball. Keep dough fresh in an airtight container. If you need to make different colors, add food coloring while mixing over heat.
