Welcome to the Lloyd Harbor Media Center which houses over 10,000 materials including fiction, nonfiction, reference and professional titles. We subscribe to more than 60 popular children and professional magazines. Our non-print sources include audio books (cassettes, CD’s and Playaways—books in mp3 format), popular fiction and nonfiction movies in VHS and DVD format, a number of scholarly databases, direct access to the school's CLL learning lab as well as a 1 to 1 ratio of iPads. 

Students access our online catalog of materials using our OPAC computer stations and iPads. It can also be accessed from home.  Click here or on the link below to access the catalog.

Our media center operates on a fixed/flexible schedule which sees every 2nd and 3rd grade class for one scheduled period per week. This time is used for a library skills lesson as well as book exchange. All other grades are able to sign up for library use to work either independently or collaboratively with me. Throughout the day students are encouraged to drop off and select new materials.
