At the December 10 Board of Education meeting, the community was treated to a festive holiday performance by our talented high school students. The ensembles included the string orchestra, brass ensemble and chamber singers, directed by Amanda Segale, Andrew Hochler and Daniel Santangelo, respectively. It’s always the highlight of the December meeting – and we thank these talented students for bringing us joy through music this holiday season. Additionally, the Board invites students to make a presentation about their school, and this month the community was privileged to hear from the senior high student government. They spoke about the many achievements, events, honors, and ongoing activities of the fall and winter seasons, accompanied by a photo slideshow for everyone to enjoy.

 

Recognitions were also bestowed upon our music students. The 2024 NYSSMA All State Chorus recognized Zoe Abelson (Alto 1) and Ameila Saladino (Alto 2) as Alternates, and in All State Orchestra, Catherine Ziegler was recognized as an Alternate in Violin.
