The Cold Spring Harbor school district has implemented a web-based communication tool that allows you access to your child’s academic information via the Internet.

What information will I have access to?

Parents of students enrolled in the Junior/Senior High will have online access to student schedules, attendance, New York State Education Department assessment parent reports, CSH progress reports and report cards for grades 7 through 12, and unofficial transcripts for grades 9 through 12.  Additionally, to further assist you in monitoring student progress, you have access to teacher grade books.  For instructions on accessing the grade book section of the portal once you've logged in, please click here.

Parents of all students enrolled in Goosehill will have access to daily attendance and CSH report cards.

Parents of all students enrolled in Lloyd Harbor and West Side will have access to daily attendance and CSH report cards.  Additionally, parents of students in grades 4 through 6 will have access to the New York State Education Department assessment parent reports for the previous year.

Will I still get paper copies of these documents?

Schedules (Junior/Senior High):  No, these documents will only be accessible via the portal.  Daily updates to the schedules will be posted to the portal during the first two weeks of school.

Report Cards and Progress Reports (Junior/Senior High):  No, these documents will only be accessible via the portal.  If you must have a paper copy, you may either print one from the portal or opt-in to have copies mailed to you by completing and submitting this form.

Report Cards (Goosehill, Lloyd Harbor, and West Side):  No, these documents will only be accessible via the portal.  If you must have a paper copy, you may either print one from the portal or opt-in to have copies mailed to you by completing and submitting this form.

New York State Assessment Parent Reports (Lloyd Harbor, West Side, and the Jr/Sr High): No, these documents will only be accessible via the portal (once they are made available by the state, generally in the fall). Instructions on how to access the reports can be found here.  If you must have a paper copy, you may either print one from the portal or opt-in to have copies mailed to you by completing and submitting this form.  Note that if your student is no longer enrolled in Cold Spring Harbor you will not be able to create a portal account.  Please use the form directly above to request paper copies.

Transcripts (Junior/Senior High): Yes, paper copies will continue to be provided.  You may also access a copy on the portal.  If printing from the portal, note that the portal version of the transcript is unofficial and is for your information only, as it is formatted differently from the official transcript that is sent to colleges, scholarship/summer programs, and employers.

What is the district doing to protect my children’s privacy?

Your children’s privacy is extremely important to us; as such, the district has elected not to send usernames and passwords via US mail.  Instead, account access will only be granted after your application, completed online, has been thoroughly reviewed by district personnel.  If the information you’ve supplied to us online does not match the information we have on file, your application will be denied, and you will be notified via email.  Once your application has been approved your account will remain active as long as you have children attending the Cold Spring Harbor school district.

    What about security?

The portal uses high-level encryption and is hosted on a Secure Network Operation Center which is professionally monitored around the clock. Additionally, the data is a snapshot that is extracted periodically from the district’s “live” student information system, therefore permanent records could not be altered in any way.

How can I apply for access to the portal?

You can apply for an account online, or log in using an account you have already created, by clicking this link.  Click the Online Registration link on that page.

Note: You only need to create one account; all your enrolled children will show up in that account.  When applying online, you will need to have the following information handy:

Parent/Guardian Name (apply using one parent's name only) and Student Name

Student ID Number (can be found on schedule/progress report/report card, also is their lunch system ID number)

Student Grade Level (as of September of the year the student starts school )

School (as of September of the year the student starts school )

We hope you find this system helpful in staying informed of your child’s progress.
